WHAT IS BIO COCOON?
Banana is one of the most common fruits around the world, which means that there is a lot of waste generated from it including the peel and stem of the banana. The solution we developed, the Bio Cocoon, is created from this banana waste and produced for homeless people in Australia. The super-hydrophobic and antibacterial outer surface makes it water repellent and adding to its long-term use. On the other hand, the inner surface adds to the warmth and comfort.

In collaboration with the Australian government and other relevant services to obtain the waste from restaurants and other stores who use bananas in bulk quantities.

The water repellent quality leads to the lotus effect of self-cleaning since the water drops off and takes the dust away.
